DIETARY SUPPLEMENT

Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that is naturally present in very few foods, added to others, and available as a dietary supplement. It is also produced endogenously when ultraviolet rays from sunlight strike the skin and trigger vitamin D synthesis. Vitamin D obtained from sun exposure, food, and supplements is biologically inert and must undergo two hydroxylations in the body for activation. The first occurs in the liver and converts vitamin D to 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D], also known as calcidiol. The second occurs primarily in the kidney and forms the physiologically active 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D [1,25(OH)2D], also known as calcitriol.

D3-K2 ReSet® contains 4,000iu of vitamin D3, 100mcg of Vitamin K2, and 11mg of RnA Powder, the catalyst that powers many of our Completement Formulas.

Dr. Carolyn Dean recommends adequate supplementation of magnesium in concert with vitamin D supplementation. Magnesium is so important in vitamin D metabolism that saturation levels of magnesium may be more effective in producing active vitamin D than high dose vitamin D. DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Dosage:
Take 1 capsule every 5 days with food that contains fat. The dose can be increased after consultation with a doctor. Take in the morning or at noon, taking in the evening may impair the ability to fall asleep.
